Our Executive Team

Florence Annet Soobi

Holds an MBA, B.A. Educ, BCP, (Makerere University), Post Graduate Diploma in HRM ( Uganda Management Institute).

Florence joined Share An Opportunity, Uganda in June 2013 having worked with Uganda Women Concern Ministry as an Executive Director for 2 years. She hed previously worked with TASO Uganda as Counselor/Trainer for over a period of 7years. Also owned and headed Premier High School for a period of 5 years since 2001.

She is a motivational speaker and has passion of working with the most vulnerable children; she beleives children are champions of change and should be engaged actively in ministry as change agents. Florence has strong mobilisation and lobbying skills that has enabled her to work with and reach out to numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds.

In her role as National Director, Florence is responsible for ensuring that Share An Opportunity, Uganda meets its strategic roles of ensuring "A holistically developed child within the community"

Florence has presently embarked on lobbying for vulnerable communities for resources by designing a Local Resource Mobilisation Strategy for SAO; because she believes that as Ugandans, there are locally available resources that can be mobilised and be put to use to support the vulnerable children in our communities, in addition to resources that are given by our funding partners.

She has gone ahead to approach different corporate organisations and government to hold them accountable to provide for the vulnerable communities as their corporate social responsibility.



Benon Kyome

Benon Kyome has worked with Share An Oppoprtunity, Uganda in different capacities, starting as a volunteer and raising up through the ranks to his present role.

Benon has a passionate interest in the issue of community development and family economic develpment in particular. He was involved in designing village banking under SAO micro finance since 2000 and worked in Central and Eastern Uganda. He managed Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) since 2002. He is now responsible for the monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance. This has enabled him to track the lessons of what Share An Opportunity does and how it benefits the people in the community.



James Owor


Born in Tororo, Uganda James Owori graduated from Makerere University in 1981 with bachelor's degree in Science. He has had a varied career in the Swaziland business sector, plus experience working in Kenya with the Education Sector. From 2009 to 2012, he served in different Finance and Administration capacities for the non-government sector. From January 2013 to March 2014 did lots of work on consultancy works in Finance and strategic planning and develpments for many organisations including big organisations like PIBID (Presidential Initiative for Banana Industrial Development) to name just one.

James joined Share An Opportunity in April 2014. Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Owori said: "I am delighted and humbled by this opportunity to serve children. Share An Opportunity is a household name and I am struck by the great affection and respect the communities we serve have for the work we do."
