Benon Kyome

National Director

Benon holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi and a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Technology and Management University; Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration (Social Sciences) from Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

He is a results-oriented M&E Manager with 20 years’ professional experience of program design and implementation, empowering, developing, and motivating high-performance teams that have actively and consistently assessed the performance of projects, institutions and programmes for learning, improvement and planning for the future.

Benon has skills in;- conducting trainings on planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning; making and presenting result reports; conducting  compliance  audits; conducting research; designing and assessing result oriented programs and projects using a theory of change approach; ensuring risk management and control; doing data quality assurance; assessing program and organization performance; and Developing M&E framework and tools

He has conducted several capacity training in monitoring and evaluation that has increased to staff and stakeholders’ readiness for M&E by 10% each year within 5 years hence functionality of the M&E system.

Benon has spearheaded the development and adoption of A robust M&E system.  Introduced a compliance audit that contributed to increased adherence to standards, guidelines and internal controls.

He has developed and updated multi-annual M&E plans and framework which have helped to track and assess the results of the interventions hence contributing to high quality reporting of results. Has spearheaded the commissioning of evaluation and baseline studies, guided routine data collection and analysis, which contributed to generation of quality and timely information used during the multi-stakeholders’ reflection meetings.

He is highly qualified and skilled in community development, social work and development and monitoring and evaluation. 

Emmanuel Mwesigwa Sakira

Programmes Manager

MA Organizational Leadership and Management (UCU); Bachelor of Library and Information Science (MUK); Diploma in Ministry (NLABC); Certificate in Planning and Management of Community Development Projects (UMI). 

Emmanuel joined Share An Opportunity Uganda (SAO U) in January 2018 having worked with AIDS Care Education and Training – ACET (Uganda) for 15 years in varying roles and positions that ranged from frontline project delivery of children and youth focused interventions to Program Coordination and Partnership Development at a senior level. At the height of his tenure there, he was part of the Senior Leadership and Management Team and deputized the Executive Director for 7 years.

He also worked in eastern Uganda on one of the Compassion International assisted projects in Bugiri District for 5 years where he was Project Director. He was mandated to help the Church meet the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families in that community in an effective manner through appropriate programs.

Emmanuel is a Leadership Provider, Trainer, and Mentor to the Young. He is keenly interested in reading, writing and behavioral research.

In his role as the Programmes Manager, Emmanuel seeks to have evidence based interventions for children and youth in SAO’s different areas of operation and looks forward to working with like-minded partners to see a holistically developed children and youth in the nation.
