It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that Share An Opportunity Uganda announces the passing of our Founder, Pastor John Ekudu.

Pastor Ekudu was a visionary leader whose unwavering dedication to serving vulnerable children, families, and communities laid the foundation upon which SAO Uganda stands today. Through his faith, compassion, and commitment to community transformation, he inspired a mission that has touched countless lives across Uganda and continues to create lasting impact.

His leadership was defined by a deep passion for empowering communities to provide for holistic child development, a vision that remains at the heart of our work. Over the years, his efforts helped shape programs that strengthened child protection, education, livelihoods, and community resilience, leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations.

As we mourn this great loss, we also celebrate a life of service, humility, and purpose. Pastor Ekudu’s contribution to the lives of many children, families, and communities will always be remembered with gratitude and honor.

During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched. We kindly ask everyone to keep them in thought and prayer as they navigate this painful loss.
